Comic Relief has announced a grant of £285,000 for a Guardian News & Media-supported sex workers' project in Malawi that involves Grace Mathanga, who featured seven years ago in a Guardian supplement, Saving Grace, which told the story of a young woman with HIV facing almost certain death.

Patrick Young, founder of TfaC, said: "This is a very exciting development for the programme, and a huge testimony to everyone who has worked on it. Without the support of the Saving Grace Foundation and Guardian readers, none of this would have been possible."
